Say goodbye to Headaches

People suffering from headaches may find the antidote they're looking for in chiropractic adjustments. A study from Duke University in Durham, NC, found that regularly scheduled chiropractic adjustments can dramatically lessen the intensity and frequency of headaches. In the study, 2,500 people suffering with headaches were divided into two groups. The first group received chiropractic care. The second group took a common pain reliever. Both methods of treatment were found to provide relief for a majority of patients. However, people taking the drug also experienced some type of adverse affect 82 percent of the time.Four weeks after the study ended, it was found that patients who had received chiropractic adjustments were experiencing less intense headaches, less often. As for the group who had taken pain medication to relieve their headaches, they continued to suffer. Their headache frequency and intensity remained the same. This report shows that chiropractic adjustments allow the body to function more smoothly, opening the doors to healing. Drugs, on the other hand, tend to mask the problem instead of offering a cure. Make sure your body is running at the highest level of function by making chiropractic a regular part of your lifestyle.[Source: Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research, 2001]
